dad just rang, he is travelling down the m5 (devon/cornwall way) and has just passed a scamera van.... which was doing 85mph...

How can they be expected to uphold the law when they obviously think they are above it?!

How does your father know the exact speed of the scamera van? On the basis he just passed it I assume your father was going quicker (no problem with this bit ).

I hope your father noted the reg number and will be writing a letter of complaint asking for an explanation.

I had a run in with one about 3 weeks ago near plymouth on the A38 followed him for a few miles at about 85mph overtaking without indicating and sitting in the outside lane , soo dropped back a bit wound the focus up and undertook him at about a ton only for him to flash his lights i signaled back in a vee formation how many of his lights a could see ,what a tosser ,

This sort of thing really pisses me off. A couple of months ago i was following a police patrol car and he was doing 50mph in a 40mph limit through one of our local villages. I was keeping pace with him. When he left the village he really put his foot down and I stiil kept pace with him and by the time I had to turn into my local pub we were doing 95mph. I was goading him to pull me over but he didn't unfortuneatley because I would have given him a right mouthfull!!
