*hypothetically* speaking, what would happen if a certain individul happend to stick NSL signs over present 50 limit ones? Would the limit then be unenforcable?

So *hypthecially* if someone was to destroy the Speed camera and stick some stickers over the speed limit signs.. it would be as good as NSL? Intersting!

Oh yeah, and most importantly, what penalty is there for doing such a thing?

This is about the closest I can find...

(taken from www.police-law.co.uk/)

Section: 22
Sub-Section: a
Act: Road Traffic Act 1988
Subject: Causing Danger To Road Users
A person who, intentionally and without lawful authority or reasonable cause,

causes anything to be on or over a road, OR
interferes with a motor vehicle, trailer or cycle, OR
interferes, directly or indirectly with traffic equipment*,

in such circumstances that it would be obvious to a reasonable person that to do so would be dangerous, is guilty of an offence.
7 Years Prison And Unlimited Fine, On Summary Trial 6 MTh's And Statutory Max. Fine.

(*Assuming signage is covered under traffic equipment?)

DtM.
