It's no good just yourself writing a letter - YOU need to gather a petition of like minded motorists.

The council will not listen to the views of one person, but they must represent the majority. You'll need to work fast as you've already missed the best time to nip this in the bud - the consultation stage. If it's at the planning stage, then the petition must be delivered by hand to your local councilor at a local community meeting to ensure best results.

And write to your local paper to complain, I did regarding some proposed ones in the Maidenhead area and I was amazed at the support I got, it kicked off a running debate in the letters pages that lasted about 6 weeks! p.s. They aren't there yet! Rich...

Lady I've been doing a bit of work with succeeded in preventing planned speed humps being built in her road in Coventry.

Can try and find details if you want but won't be until next week.
