Unmarked Police(?) escort through Chester today

Hi all

saw a strange convoy just now in Chester.

Three police bikes blocking off junctions from Sealand, past Saltney roundabout towards the A483/A55 roundabout.

A stretched (I think) XJ Jaguar on an 08 plate, being escorted by a Range Rover (blue lights and display board in rear window displaying POLICE), a Discovery (hidden blue lights), and an X5 (hidden blue lights), all otherwise unmarked!

Any idea who was being escorted? And what department vehicles would these be? Special forces or summat?! Looked like something off 24.

Oooh was he? I was walking down Nuns Road and they all came tearing past, I only saw the back of the cars. I did see a st hairdo from the back, mind.

Just heard, Charlie was in Ellesmere Port today visiting Vauxhall, so possibly came back through Chester and stayed the night at the Duke of Westminster's place near Pulford!
