Yeah Tony...I caught some ugly fat bloke leaning against my car in a pub carpark and took his picture

Anyhow...why are you asking how to steal cars? Competency payment not enough to cover Xmas?

Yes,.........with the Key.

Most new cars are fitted with anti theft devices which can only be disabled by using the correct key for the car,
Thieves, as we all know will burgle you, Rob you in an attempt to get that key.

Why is it that so many people seem to leave their keys in the car.........Dont let it be you.

That was a Community Safety announcement sponsored by Norwich Union.......

It seems to be the easiest way of getting a new car without the hassle of paying for it, lol.

I would think that with the overtime in this coming week with Bush's visit that i should be able to buy one..........

Must admit my Impreza is the only car I have ever locked whilst paying for petrol. Always took keys with me, but the Impreza is not insured if its not locked. Therefore the moment I get out of it I lock it.

However even if you do lock the car don't then leave the keys where they can be seen through the letterbox or they may be retrieved with a fishing rod!

You can look after them really carefully until something like this happens??

Dovercourt: Vicious attack on couple for car keys
A man was left unconscious and a woman had some teeth knocked out by a robber who stole their car keys.

Police have called the incident in Fronks Road, Dovercourt, last night a "vicious and unprovoked attack".

The attacker knocked on the door of their home and asked for directions at 6.40pm. Insp Paul Butcher of Clacton said the man then asked to borrow their car.

He said: "The man refused and he was assaulted and knocked out."

The victim was unconscious for the next ten to 15 minutes while the thief managed to steal the car keys to their Audi A3.

Their attacker, who was white and in his early 20s, ran off towards Highfield Avenue and upper Dovercourt.

As ive posted before, if anyone knocks at my front door with a sledgehammer during the night then they can have the keys........simply not worth it.

But at the opposite end of the scale are the people who leave keys in the car a Petrol Stns etc...no sympathy whatsoever.

I alwaysleave the keys in my range rover when I'am paying for petrol but then Baggins and Gypsy are always in the car, and Baggins gets a real attitude problem if you open the door and he don't know you

Best way to Steal a car?

Come to High Wycombe between say 5:30 and 7pm. Sit yourself on the wall outside the main Police station on Queen Victoria Road. Watch all the cars pull up on the RHS (3 lane 1 way street BTW), get out and run to the main post office's postbox with a pile of letters/whatever. 95% of them leave their keys in the car and 50% of them even leave the engine running for you. Since most of these are people on the way home from the office dropping off the day's post the car is usually not occupied by kids etc. The post box is only 10 feet away but I've seen lots of people walking by when people pull up and thought 'it would be so easy to just get in and steal that car'. There is usually a clear road ahead to the right too. (I see this just in driving past 5 evenings a week - at least 3 times a week there is an opportunity in the 1 min I'm passing.)

Oh I dunno - having a set of blues and twos would be dead useful sometimes for clearing the traffic out the way...
