Couple of years ago I got invited aboard a plane working for a company that did electronic warfare training for the MOD.

Anyway they were telling couple of stories one how theyd jammed all police radio frequencies in the highlands by accident!

Another from the RAF whod had a very snotty letter from the police about a radar gun they bent. Appears the coppers were using it when a harrier flew over, the gun got to 300mph when the planes ecm gear kicked in. The gun never worked again and some wag in the RAF wrote back that with out a picture and reg no they couldnt id the driver!

They said they did the police radio one, the radar gun was told to them by the RAF so maybe.....

Still I want one. All the equipment seemed easy to get hold of, scanners, MiniDisc player etc...

I heard something else along the lines of the RAF.

Police kept getting reports of a car travelling at high speed down a dual carriageway at 2-3 in the morning with no lights on.
After a few nights of these reports, they set up a trap to try and catch them.
Sure enough, just after 2am, a Black Porsche 911 hurtles past them with no lights on at speeds approaching 150mph. When they eventually catch up with the car, they discover it's 2 Harrier Pilots testing out their night vision equipment
