I like the way the Highway Robbers say that reducing the speed limit will improve the quality of life for people living in the area.

How will this occur? because I would suspect most drivers will continue to drive at current speeds, apart from stretches covered by the no doubt impending GATSO's.

All lowering the limit will do in reality is create another raft of highway-criminals out of ordinary folk.

I personally have given up with the limits they have changes load of previous roads from 70 to 40 etc
it's mad IMHO, I just drive at the speed I determine is a safe on for the conditions and location.

Give all the village-Hitler's a laser each and they can all smile and wave as I drive past calling them wank3rs.

I wonder if any councilors will take responsibility for having allowed by-pass roads to be designed and built that it now turns out were incapable of carrying cars at 60mph. I'd almost encourage vicitms of RTAs to sue on the grounds "you built the road, you set the speed limit, I had an accident and now you've lowered the limit and thereby admitted your original speed limit was dangerously high".

re. rotten veg ... I'd try sprouts ... straight from the freezer.
