Report in todays Mail says that insurance companies are to begin asking about any speeding convictions before issuing life insurance/assurance policies and some could be refused cover altogether- so no mortgaged house buying.

They suggest that "those convicted of speeding........will exhibit other lifestyle failings"

Report also says there are now 6 million drivers with points on their licence.

Presumably none of those folks were involved in an accident at the time they were trapped since they must have been moving.

"will exhibit other lifestyle failings"

I think the inability to understand why poloting a nice car at speed is a good thing is a "lifestyle failing".

Lets all just smoke crack instead.

My arse.

thats just silly.

They dont ask about the amount of accidents we have been in. Surely that is a sign of bad driving.

It just sounds like an excuse for insurance companies to make even more money.

Why not have IQ tests, and charge stupid people more insurance on the basis than on any given day, at any given time or place they are more likely to have an accident, have something stolen from them or generally up?

We start a smear campaign against all politicians caught speeding, to have THEM labelled as 'lifestyle failures', 'sense of humour failures' - oh the list goes on..
