Old Harlow, Beefeater bridge. Saw the ANPR van, checked speed. BRaked to correct "drift". Val-1 goes off!!!! see copper taking aim with Pro-Laser.

Phew !

Now if I hadn't seen the anpr van, I'd be nicked. But if I hadn't got the Val-1, I might have accelerated to the correct speed of the road (different to legal speed).

ha ha ha!

no worries! I got the speed back to the limit before the laser hit me. Sneaky sods tho'. No real justification there, just out to nick people.

Doubt it.

By the time your brain would have processed the beep they would have already got you 3 times over. Hopefully they did a "best of 3" or somthing and took the lowest speed. LTI20/20 only takes 1/3 of a second to clock speed (I have actually had a go with one )

Good luck

An ANPR unit will set off most laser detectors by the way, if your close enough (about 30m or less.)

They use 850nm-900nm wavelength laser diode LED's for the infra red Illuminator behind the lens. 140 of the little blighters & they are quite powerful.

The cameras only see infra red so they don't see bright headlights etc & your cars reflective number plates stick out like a sore thumb.

Infra red illuminator wont set off a jammer/detector because the output isnt modulated.
I should know, ive got one!
Tried it against the sld, nothing happened. Even viewed the sld's output to see if it responded and it didnt....mind you, it went berserk with 3 tv remotes pointed at it!

Automatic number plae recognition.....goes hand in hand with facial recognition, especially if Dick Twat Brunstrom has his way.
