The A4146 Hemel to Leighton Buzzard
Discussion
Just a warning to say that more speed camera's have appeared on this stretch of road...the original camera was in a small village and quite sensible but there are now two (or 3) more out in the middle of no where, they are quite visible for now though , until the bushes grow a bit more.
It makes it almost impossible to overtake even though its an NSL. I got stuck behind a land rover that was following two cars that would not overtake a moped doing about 30mph
Then on the way back on the same stretch i followed three cars up each others arse for a few miles and then overtook the three of them in one go without going over the NSL, cos they were all doing about 34mph behind some numpty...
People just don't seem to think anymore.

ive got to agree with you,i was going home yesterday morning on the a127 southend arterial and had a total tw@ in a corsa swing out from the inside lane into the outside whilst he was travelling at a mindblowing 24mph in a 40!.....i was doing 40 dead on (camera's and sneeky use of the laserguns has made sure of that!)and even though i have ultra blue sidelight and headlight bulbs (shedloads brighter than std jobs) he had obviously not looked in any of his mirrors before he(without signalling)swerved violently infront of me.......i also noticed that his car was swerving about like a bead of sweat in an aerobic teachers buttock cleavage and i honestly thought the guy was p
d (this is at just gone 7am!)and in the end i had to undertake him as he was just plain dangerous.
obviously as he was doing 24mph the 'safety cameras' didnt catch him....

There are 4 on that road in total (unless they put more up yesterday in which case they wont work yet) ![]()
There is 1 outside the wine place and 1 just down from it outsite the car showroom.
The other 2 are the other side of the bridge opp each other. All 4 cameras are in a 40 limit.
There's the original camera in Edlesborough, so there's now five: Three on the way from L-B to Hemel and two in the opposite direction.

This used to be a graet road, have ridden it on my bike many times.
I think word got out that this road is a potential money maker. Though the camera on the hill by the pub is not to bad after all this is on a brow after a junction.
I use this area when out for a blast.
Have you tried the hills around harlington. There used to be a hill climb here in days of old, good fun blasting up the hill.

I haven't driven round the area much, i just drive to slapton once in a while to see my dad, and then drive straight back, I am always cautious about driving on country roads i don't know as that seems to be the easiest way to get done by scameras...

I've not seen any mobiles in the area other than the A5 at Hockliffe, the A4146 at Billington (done there three years ago) and the A505 (done there this easter). If you're coming up from hemel, remember the ones you've seen and enjoy the rest of it! If you want a change getting to Slapton, go across Ivinghoe Beacon and around the lanes - top fun!!
