All great fun I'm sure but not when you live quite close to them.
We have been subjected to these for 2 weeks in a row.
Last week from 11pm until 9am the following morning.
This week it started at 7pm and was scheduled (advertised) to continue until mid day the following day (17 hours).
The music was continuous on both occasions and the volume and bass was such that it was like having a party in your own house, with everything vibrating under the constant thumping of the bass.
It was a nice quiet area until this and the road and surrounding rural areas are now used as a car park and a cut through for drunken/drugged up youngsters one of whom chose to urinate up the side of my neighbours car!
Nothing was done about it the 1st week depsite complaints.
I called the police and spoke with their central control this weekend and described the event and what had happenned last week and was initially told there was no law being broken and they would do nothing. The council noise abatement told me they could not get involved without the police and an offence being commited.
I stated that if nobody else could help then I'd go in and cut the power supply to the amps. I was told that I'd be arrested for "breach of the peace"
Police did turn up and they did say they'd seize the equipment but they didn't and the rave was shut down for 3 hours and then started again at 5am.
Anyone else been through this and had any success?

Advertising on facebook to an unknown number of people with an open advert and directions is not what most people would consider a party for a few people.
The offical number is actually as low as 10.

FFS, what has happened to the rights of the individual to enjoy peace and quiet - I would complain to whoever runs your Police force - that attitude is disgusting.get a load of sleeping tablets, put them in a sealable bag, dress up in your gardening gear and pop a load of pro-plus tablets. You should now look the part... drift in quietly whilst screaming "e's, only a pound each" at the top of your voice. The large majority will take several off your hands at this price and all will be asleep before the pro-plus wear off... turn off the generators, problem solved

I think you could be charged with selling E, even if it were just pro-plus.A guy I know was caught selling "pills" in a club, and put his hand up to selling E. Turned out the pills were amphetamine/speed, but he was still charged with supplying E. The moral? If you're caught selling pills, don't admit to supplying anything other than "pills", and hope to god the lab results show them to contain something less serious than mdma/E, or even better, duds!
Obviously my last sentence there was a little tongue in cheek, but can anyone confirm this is the case?
I'd just find the genny and stop it, and then chop the end from the power lead (with insulated pliers mind, I doubt any of the riggers will have the slightest idea about safety).
For that matter you could also inform the health and safety executive that they are running a generator without an adequate earth spike, and if they're running two at the same time without adequate earthing then that is a recipe for death - something they should take quite seriously.

I would recommend a price of 3 for £10. After all if they are already there, bargain price.I would also recommend a bit of baby teething products mixed with wine purifier. I think £30 a wrap should be acceptable.

On a serious note the police don't have to be involved for coucil noise issues. What is your council? I know in York you call the "Environmental Protection Unit".
The noise and statutory nuisance act is the one to look at.

When it is not a private party (over 10 attendees) and there is an entrance fee and there are general public disturbance issues I think it then becomes a public order offence and a police matter.
Around 250 people attended the rave this weekend.
EPU are more geared up to deal with parties at urban residences (annoying neighbours).
In contrast, when my alarm had been going off unknown to me. The EPU and police came to visit me to tell me they would confiscate the equipment if it happened again. It would have been nice of the neighbour to have told me it had been going off, as it happenned I was completely unable to do anything about a situation I was unaware of!

I believe that "Supplying or offering to supply a controlled drug" is the charge so, even if you don't actually have any real E's, you get done for offering to supply them.
