Just wondered when does a scamera measures your speed to decide whether to take a pic? Is it before the white lines or after? ie. should you drive over all the lines within the limit to avoid a flash.

Not as far as I know (which ain't far) it's doppler which uses a static reference, ie the road and lines. Nothing to do with rate of change of speed. there will be a trigger level (to allow for Brunstromlike zero tolerance level adjustments) when this is exceeded a timed second shot fires off to give you the photographic edivence
