Take this when you go to court.

Sorry if that sounds unhelpful but what makes you think driving at more than 100kph over the limit is ok? Would you do it here and expect to get away with it?
Where does he say he thinks it is ok, or is at all critical of his "punishment"? If you cannot help the guy, why post?

Faraz, I am afraid your 750 euro "fine" may only be a "deposit" and the court may impose a bigger fine and a ban in France. You should get your car back after that hearing, once you have settled the fines. But as you will no doubt be banned in France, (and have to surrender your UK licence to them) you will need a driver to get you and the car back to the UK.
The good news (if there is any) is that the ban will only be in France, not UK, but as they will take your licence, you can reapply for your UK licence as "lost" for about £18!
I'd suggest you get a French Lawyer to help you, a local solicitor will proabbaly have alist of them or be able to point you in the right direction.
You could also try the British Embasy in Paris for advice.
Good LUck!

If it was me I'd apply for a new licence now before they take your original on off you, it's probably illegal to get a duplicate before you lose the original but what the hell, if a computer says the French are holding your licence it might make it very difficult to get another one.Good LUck!

i was coght speeding in france at 236k,they took my car my driving licance fined 750 and i have to go go to court on the 18TH sep, dose any one know how to get my car back or what to do
thanx
Ok You need to go back to France with either someone that is issured to drive your car , and proof with Insurance docs etc. Or with someone driving a car recovery truck.thanx
Because it is illegal for you to drive in France ....not even from the police station to the ferry !!!
contact a french lawyer to represent you

go to court with French lawyer to argue the case ,
Be prepared the 750e fine is essentially a bond for you to attend court .It is by no means the final fine .
Historically you will recieve an additional 750 fine totaling 1500e fine .
you may well pay car storage fees. It is unlikely that you will lose your car.
Your ban for France could be 2 months to 6 months ? possibly a year
