Just a bit of a ponderance really as I've been toying with the idea of buying some, but wanted to know what the benefits vs downfalls are for buying short levers?

depends how many fingers you brake with and how heavy your clutch is surely?

I got some for my Blackbird and I like the lookof them. I only use 2 fingers to brake which is fine. Although I tend to use 3 on the clutch which does feel a little odd as my third finger is on the end ball. I soon get used to it though after riding my other bike.

If you have got hands like shovels, I would stick with what you've got

I clutch with 2-4 fingers depending on how quick I'm going

I brake with 1-2

Depends how good your brakes are. On my SM I can stoppie with 2 fingers (probably 1 but I can't adjust the lever to where I want it because of the handguards) and I never use more than 2 fingers on the clutch, sometimes 1 (hydraulic clutches are fantastic). I think smaller levers would be better for me because I have no need to use the other fingers but if you use the last bit of the lever quite ofteen then I would stick with normal length ones.
