D&D Roadside testing
Discussion
Good to see the BiB checking drivers for Drinking and Driving last night on streets of Bristol.
They were also noting registration numbers, immediately prior to sending me on my way they asked for and made a note of my name. Obviously I gave them this information, but I am curious as to what use they can have for this information as there was no attempt to check this against any data base before sending me off.

Edited to say, oi Silverback, don't suppose you were on Whiteladies Road at about 8.25pm last night?

Far too easily done!
Yes, indeed. In Sweden I hear its the done thing to have your own breath tester...not for checking you can still drive home...but for the morning after..to work out if you need to book a day's hols or, more realistically, "phone a sickie"...

Is good to see they were out doing it, followed a very weavy XJ8 for a couple of miles last night, but no sign of the BiB where I live (not enough Prey to interested them out in the sticks)
Weavy XJ8 not me either, unless a bit slippery.
Nope wasnt slippery, guy was definately pissed, spot on the speed limit and all over the road, was also taking the backroad route rather than the main road which i reckon is always a pretty good sign.

And swedem is where I bough my breathalyser... and its really shocking how long alcohol can hang around for,...

Didn't think random breath testing was allowed?
Of course, if you stop everyone ... it isn't random! Depends on your point of view I guess- Streaky
. Anyway, don't they just need to "think" you might have been drinking so any slight wobble of the steering wheel and you get pulled.
