Can someone clarify

A reckons B owes them money, B wants the court to decide.

The court says B owes A the money - does B then have a CCJ against his name, or does he only get it if he refuses/cannot pay?

ALSO - does they only apply to loans? i.e if B owes A money for a service but not on credit and is refusing to pay for one thing or the other (say poor workmanship) - would he just be ordered to pay but not get a CCJ as it relates to credit only?

If B pays up within 28 days, the CCj can be removed, otherwise it sits there for 7 years.

I think it's more that if B pays up within 28 days (used to be 14) then no CCJ is registered at all.

If payment is not made within that period of time, then I am not 100% sure that a CCJ is registered as an operation of law but that you need to ask for it to be registered.
