I think Dicky Brunstrom is a star and we should all show our support for him.
I think we should agree on a suitable date (nice sunny Bank Holiday) and enjoy the views his constabulary has to offer at a very sensible 15mph.
Not only is this a comfortable and reasonably safe speed, but if enough people turn up to support him, we will be able to force all the speed merchants to adapt to our speed. I accept this might cause gridlock and upset some of the locals, but what the hell, its for a good cause and terribly legal. Of course another side-effect would be zero takings from any cameras, but that is Dicky's ultimate target (innit?).

What a jolly nice idea, I'm sure he would be very happy to see us all and not do anything with those nice powers he has under the criminal justice bill.

Have you ever been to Wales? There are a number of options on a bank holiday, one of them is to sit on the A55 at 15 MPH in the right lane or 16 MPH in the left lane. Alternatively you can ** ******* **** *** **** and really piss the tossor off. (Idon't believe in naming the roads to be sped along) Maybe we should just send im home to Pluto? Along with his family just to make sure the cancer is cured.

Careful what you suggest you do with a star (or any other pointy thing) - he, or one of his imps, might be reading and take it as a threat! (Or a promise.)

No defamation please - he might start crying, and get us with his ray gun - oh, sorry, he's already doing that to cars!

I like this idea - a protest was mentioned in central London on another thread - what would be a lot better would be to wait until summer then run in a several dual-lane convoys, in waves of 10 cars or so every 30 minutes, in both directions of the A55 or whichever is the main holiday route into Wales, at 25-30mph (no risk of being pulled for dangerously slow driving).

This would cause a huge tailback of caravans and steaming motorists, and would be much more likely to get media interest, and wind Sir Plod up!!

Might be a nice day out, too!!

It would snarl up the

It is not a protest! That could be illegal and possibly banned. The idea is to show our support. If those caravans hurtling along at 25mph are pissed off then so be it.
Where do you get the '...dangerously slow driving..' bit from?? Afterall its speeding that is dangerous!!
What's more if we come across a scamera van we could all stop and talk to the operator and express our gratitude for the sterling job they are doing. Do they provide much parking space near scamera vans?

A garage owner from north Wales is trying to organise a protest against the situation they have to suffer thanks to Brunstrom - namely the fact he continues to persecute motorists while crime rates in the area are soaring.

Don't know the details, but if any PHers in the area are interested in getting involved say so here and I'll post a contact number.
