Specs camera's are being set up on the M6 both directions around J19, shortly after the distance chevrons northbound.

They are already there but still covered at the moment. The have been signs for a police speed check area there for some time now, so be careful.

Does anyone know what speed you need to go through this stretch to get a speeding ticket?

Since the SPECS cameras are set at frequent intervals, how many SPECS cameras do you need to pass at excess speed to be considered to have been speeding?

I travelled down (and back up!) the m6 on saturday. From the a500 stoke junction back to about j19, (Knutsford)there are baggged up cameras on the rear of all the new info sign gantries.

They have been there for ages, but recently covered up.They are larger than specs, but not shaped like gatso's.

What are they, and what delights have the gov. for us?

I wondered what they were when I first saw them a while ago, I eventually spotted one without a bag and found out what they are......

Its a winch, presumably for lifting items on and off the gantry, nothing to do with speed cameras at all.
