What is it with some of these people that make them
such sad and angry people?

On the normal school run today and of late, they have
changed the parking restrictions around the school.
Good idea in theory, but appallingly thought out.

However, to stop people parking outside the school,
they have also had a traffic warden there some days
as well and that seems to deter appalling parking.

However, today, I got within 50 feet of the gates and
stopped to let a coach turn in.

I pull away again at very low speed and this warden
runs into the road waving his arms up and down and
shouting slow down - looked at the speedo and I
wasn't even doing 20!

Having had so many children run out in front of me
before while other idiot drivers pull stupid tricks
around there, I'm extremely conscious of my speed.

Don't normally do it, but I was furious so I went
to tell him what my speed was and I couldn't get a
word in as he went off on one, accused me of speeding
etc and that he should report me to the police?!

When I told him to let me speak, I said he was more
likely to cause an accident by doing what he did than
me doing around 18mph and simply because I have a
loud and powerful sounding car, did not put me in
the must be speeding / dangerous driving bracket.

I know he has a job to do but his actions left my
daughter and I astounded.

Remember a Tiv looks like its doing 100+ when its STATIONARY.

Being a dimwitted fool the feckwit would be unable to appreciate this and probably thought you were speeding.

Either that or the warden was just a jealous cnut.

Happens, I'm afraid....

I remember in my old Land Rover if you stuck it in low box you could drive around sounding like Michael Scumacher (Ok maybe not) all at less than 25mph.

One bonfire night with all these people on the road in 1st gear (5mph if your lucky) - they'd all run outta the way when you booted it, but we could'nt go faster then them in that gear. Caused us great amusement.

I got stopped by the BIB for, and I'll quote, "Sounding fast...."

*sigh*.

It's a 3" S/S Blitz pipe. It's supposed to sound like that.

Had the same problem with my old Ginetta G4, only a 1.8 zetec engine... but 118db! Had lots of locals complaining not of the noise thatI was generating, but speeding! Rubbish!

Sorry, we're going off topic a bit here.

This is trafficwarden/nazi problem is exactly what we've been discussing the past few days. The government want to give these shits the power to fine drivers who speed, and look what would have happened in this case, you would have got a speeding ticket for 20mph... just because the traffic warden had no perception of the speed you were actually doing. Just another reason to get out of Britain before it's too late.

Loud exhausts just don't do it for me but each to their own.

Why get stressed? Just tell him he has no authority to deal with moving traffic offences.

I really really really wish everyone in Britain was like us here at PH! Sadly everyone I work with, all my mates and even my girlfriend are part of the huge majority of leftwing socialist lentilmunchers that this country seems to be breeding... I think I only know 4 or 5 people who I have similar political views with

Edit to say: Sorry but I can't help going off topic

Understand your feelings!! Every time I come back to the UK, I wonder at the gullability of the nation. Not only has a very small minority elected a lying Git and his cronies into power, they are so brainnumb that they actually believe what these lying scum say!!!! Never mind what the lentil munchers in the gruniad say or the daily star or workers weekly!!!
I think we definitely need a revolution with brain training camps to get the public back to reality as did the vietcong!
Lets start with education with elitism as the target, if you're lazy or bad, tough sh!t, you fall through the net and you'll always be a road sweeper. If you're good diligent and able and want to work the sky's the limit.!!! That means that these lefty unis are going to have to be purged of their socialism and egalitarianism as are the majority of public office!

I don't think so although it might be be wortha letter into his superior detailing his behaviour and how it could cause a collision in future.

Not yet......

"Traffic Management Bill

PART 6

68 Civil penalties for road traffic contraventions

(4) The regulations may include provision prohibiting the imposition of a penalty charge except on the basis of—
(a) a record produced by an approved device, or
(b) information given by a civil enforcement officer as to conduct observed by him."

Now speeding is not included as one of the specific offences listed in the Bill...........yet.

However let us assume this old pharte is as unreasonable as has been suggested. The pair of you having had a run in causes a vendetta to start.......
(ref number of cases this happening)

The continual appeals would get very wearing until the old tw@ got one on you that it was impossible to prove otherwise. Let us say "stopping on the zig zags near the school crossing." [1]

Remember guilty till proven innocent!

[1] an offence under section 36(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 (failure to comply with traffic sign) or failing to comply with a sign of a type referred to in—
(i) regulation 10(1)(b) of the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002 (S.I. 2002/3113) (zig-zag lines relating to certain crossings)

edited coz my typing and spelling are carp!

I'd have screamed at the little prick, RSM parade ground stye, told him to get his hair cut, his trousers pressed, his boots cleaned and to report to me in 15 minutes with it done or it'd be 56 days in the cooler for being such a sh1tehouse!! Fooocking little traffic nazis......
