On the M1 Yesterday (going from Watford to Edgware) I was making good progress, about 100mph but not over..in very light traffic and observing correct lane ettiquete etc..

I noticed a BiB Volvo T5 on an observation ramp but he was obscured by a bridge until I got close...I figured there was not much point in trying to shave 30mph off my speed as the damage was probably already done so i just eased off the gas and went passed him at about 95 mph and by the time i was out of his line of sight i was still doing that kind of speed.

Anyway he didn't come after me, so i assume i am safe? Or might I get something in the post?

was he pointing something at you? Laser Unit....

or

did you not notice the white dots you drove over? Vascar.....

Always best to slow down & even pull in, lets them know your at least being observant whilst being a naughty boy.

To be honest, I did not see the cop(s)? at all, I just saw the car, and kept looking straight ahead

Do they have to be standing outside the car to use a laser ?

Im sure you'll be fine, on the basis that given the choice of just sitting there and pointing a gun or chasing after somebody, the copper would choose the latter.

especially as it would have seemed that you didnt even acknowledge him.

stop worrying about things beyond your control

I sit on that EPOP (elevated Police Observation point) with a Laser (Range about 1200ft) and only drive after motorists and stop them. We never do it by index or via the post.
There are Pilot marks on this section of M1 too.

Can't say about the scameras/lasers instant fine jobs, but being observed making progress whilst using the lanes correctly can be a real license saver.....

I will be watching my 6, and my 10..and 2! In the old days i would spend most of my time looking where i was going, not where i had been, or what was in the bushes
