Amazing parking by scamera van
Discussion
A friend and I were out on our mountain bikes yesterday afternoo, braving the gale force winds as we rode down the cycle track that runs parallel to the coast road between Ainsdale and Southport.
The Cycle rack is just wide enough to ride side by side on, with a 4 ft. gravel bed between the track and the road. At the edge of the gravel are stout wooden stakes about 2ft high.
As we rode down we saw a Police van with 2 plods inside it, virtually completely blocking the cycle track and gravel trap. Inside were 2 policemen, 1 on a mobile phone, and both tucking into their Macdonalds happy meals whilst their speeding gear did it's business. As I struggled past the van, I thought, well, you can imagine.
What pi$$ed me off even more was that an elderley range rover had broken down on this busy 2 lane road, causing tailbacks as cars tried to squeeze past it.
The plods couldn't have cared less as they were tucked up in their nice warm van.
I suppose you had to be there......
