As per one of the other threads on here there may be underlying issues your not aware of there are alot of third parties involved in claims so your insurer may simply be waiting for them to sort there act out, insurers are requiered to deal with a claim as quickly as possible but sometimes this cant be done.
I know its not an ideal situation but if the other person is refusing to accept fault it can take alot of time and does take patience remember although you are paying alot for an open claim if it goes non fault you can claim certain costs back.
I would suggest you ask for a manager and ask if each month they could give you a courtesy call to let you know whats going on.
