Scameras on the opp side of the road.

Some of you may know this bit of road, it's the A556 at Knutsford, where there are 2 scams staggered on either side of the road over a few hundred yards. I drove through the one on my side of the road, and then sped up slightly, then the camera on the other side of the road, (about 200 yards down the road) flashed. I was in the outside lane of the correct side of the road (for once) and was the only car around.

Is this normal, surely they can only monitor traffic in one direction, which is the way they are facing, OR have they invented something special???
