Autoglass Advert

I keep seeing this advert on the telly for Autoglass. Basically they are saying get your windscreen fixed if it's got a crack in it, which is obviously a good idea.

This advert seems to be more prevalent than any Govt sponsored road safety related advert, no doubt because it is making money for Autoglass?

My question is...

If it pays a windscreen co to advertise this heavily, surely the insurance companies could club together for some road safety campaigns of their own to reduce the amount they have to pay out in damage and injury claims? They become more profitable, and fewer people get hurt so everyone's a winner.

It just isn't gonna happen - like asking a politician to tell the truth!!!
