Diana Ross jailed for drink-driving
Diana Ross has been sentenced to two days in prison after being convicted of drink-driving.

The singer will have to do her time before March 9 and complete at least 36 hours of alcohol abuse treatment, a judge ordered.
The 59-year-old Golden Globe winner contacted the Arizona court by telephone from New York to plead no contest to the charge.
Under the deal, two related charges were dropped.
She was also put on probation for a year and ordered to pay fines of more than £450.
Ross was arrested in Tuscon on December 30, 2002, after a driver called police to report a car driving on the wrong side of the road.
A breath test showed she had a blood-alcohol concentration of 0.2% - well above the state limit of 0.08%.
Ronald Beran, a deputy city attorney, said Ross' sentence was in line with the normal punishment for such an offence.
By pleading no contest Ross did not admit to committing the offence.
Her only comments after sentencing were to thank the judge.
Question is, would it have been more if she wasn't Diana Ross?

That is what I mean - why did he escape a second time because he's a repeat offender? Makes me bleedin angry.
Cos he is ill. He is not a criminal, he is a sick man. A bit like members of the judiciary being prostitute addicted. Best is addicted to alcohol. I know who I would rather associete with.

Ah right so because he's ill he's allowed to risk other people's lives with stupid behaviour?? Sorry that just dosen't add up - he can recover from his addiction from behind bars.

But would he? The guy caused controversy over the liver transplant.
Addiction, as said on another thread, is serious whether hard drugs, booze or fags!
Best has had too many chances, and still not conquered this. Feel sorry for him about this, but realistically and hard-hearted: Even if locked up permanently in a clinic, doubtful he would get over it. Still, when he wrecks the new liver.....?? NO SECOND CHANCE! (Or third in his case!)
He was banned for 2 years, was he not? As serial offender and known and proven seriously dangerous alcoholic, should really be ban for life! (And that should really have been imposed first time around!SHOULD BE NO SECOND CHANCES ON THIS!
Mrs Fish said:I believe he has a court date set for late Feb. They have just decided that the evidence won't be made public and I think they are also going to hold the case behind closed doors (unlike the OJ Simpson trial). My brother works for a branch of the LAPD so he keeps me posted!
As an aside, anyone know what's happening with MJ, it's all gone very quiet.

Fair enough. And the misery caused to sex workers by the judiciary and others of their ilk? Should they sit in judgement of him. Or should they be in the next cell?
