They still take half an hour to park, are indecisive about which lane(s) they should be in and generally are a nuisance on the road.

Children aged 5 - 11 commit fewer driving offences than men, so they too are better drivers.

Same Generation? I'm 23! Entirely possible i suppose if your less than 8. Seeing that you are a hot shot lawyer I have my doubts that this is the case.

It's true, and furthermore their offences are less severe and the size of their insurance claims are smaller and they enjoy smaller premiums.

But dear god, the standard of driving by the women i see on my new very short commute... the woman the other day who couldn't simply drive her eco-box forwards off her front drive... the parking of the women dropping their kids off at the school i pass... just the sheer awfulness of what they do... but hey, yep overall they're better drivers. Still bloody frightening though. smile

If you need a "real world" example of who the better drivers are, look no further than a Formula 1 paddock.

There are no female drivers, and the girls are told not to touch or go anywhere near the cars.

Yeah but let's be honest, in the past couple of decades only a small few of them men have been any good. I mean, look at how much just the one man has cleaned up. wink

They are allowed to go near the cars. They lie on them in bikinis!!!

Re lack of drivers - Thats because no one gives them a chance in the first place. Girls are trained to sit on the sidelines and watch the boys play. Haven't you noticed that.rage

Ms Demeanor, I'm not doubting the technical competence of women drivers, etc, who can sometimes be almost as good as men.

However - can you honestly put your hand on your heart and say you'd feel comfortable in, say, an aeroplane - if you knew the pilot was female?
