Brunstrom: Would you meet him?

Damn right I would - his arguments are flawed, would enjoy running rings around him.
Although I'd prefer if Paul Smith went...
I'd go in a flash too - but they won't talk to me.
Best Regards,
Paul Smith

Hypothetical question.
If you got invited to go see Brunsy at Colwyn Bay, would you go?
Im asking because...er....![]()
Do you feel ready for the debate? You will need a LOT of prepartion time. Everything you say will need to be backed up with facts - which you will need handily at your disposal.
It would be a LOT of work to be ready...and you can guarantee Mr Brunstrom will be very, very prepared and probably has a large team working on his presentations for him.
Its hard to compete with someone who has all the time in the world, and in fact the time of hundreds of people, at his disposal.
As a local objector to a Traffic Calming scheme I had to put in about a hundred hours of research - for which I was not going to be paid and had to do at night simply because I thought it was my civic duty.
The Council Officers who defended the scheme got paid for the hundreds upon hundreds of man hours they expended on countering my arguments. What a waste of public money.
So go. But be prepared.

Yet I bet he'll spend ages talking to BRAKE and assorted Heroin addicts. The fact he won't meet you is a propaganda exercise worthy of Goebbels.

Yes it is a nightmare. I am prepared to help with some research though or er and go and meet the nutter of course. I think chinning him may lead to fairly instant arrest though. The verbal sword is best.

A representative - now that's a good idea!
However, it might seem like a good idea to ask him questions that we know he won't be able to answer, but have you ever seen a politician being asked what you thought were "killer" questions? It'll probably be an exercise in frustration as you get given bullsh1t answers or answers to questions he wishes you had asked him.

Well thats what happened already. I asked two straight forward questions which they deemed "simplistic" but when they answered they didnt adress the points raised.
So i wrote back to them and they obviously didnt like the "tone of my voice" ... so they offered me out...er to go talk to them about my "issues" or some such like..
Makes me wonder if they have ANY answers to even the dumbest questions at all!
I shall continue in my persuit of truth and justice for a while longer tho....
Watch this space..

Be careful, history has examples of this. Val the impaler had an amnesty for all crooks and beggars and threw a huge banquet for them. They all filed in to a huge spread and eat and drank well, then the doors were locked and the building set alight.
Val? Good grief, these Welsh lassies are a bit hard..............
