I know that a lot has been said about different sprays etc that can fool scameras but I have been told they don't work, the best way is to drive during the day with main beam on as it is then difficult to read the number plate, also rain is not good for mobile scameras, this is why you don't see them at night or when it is raining.
Not that I think drivng during the day with main beam on is a good idea

Some sort of EMP would probably do it, although that may be overkill....

How about a laser guided missile? They zap you, it detects laser and launches Or a reversable number plate?

Or your best bet in real life is a couple of the detector systems widely available, so you can slow down before you get zapped. Hopefully.

Road debris that's somehow become attached to your plates.

Headlights DO NOT fool a mobile camera.
A laser jammer WILL.
Get one for the rear and one for the front.
A flipper fitted front and rear to the plates as you approach them and then what they gonna do? A big fat zero.
Cant id the vehicle number, cant get a speed reading (what a shame!) and cant issue a nip..awww. diddums....
No "kerchiiing" sounds and no payout for them.
They cheat, abuse the rules, hide and LIE, so why not do the same back?
If you can avoid a ticket, then avoid it.
Dont play fair and dont play by their rules...just make your own up as you go along.

I've found it works pretty well in practice too, like he said, keep your eyes open and concentrate. They won't get you then.

Having spoken to two trafpol lads operating a mobile Gatso outside my house, I got some first hand info on this subject.

Some headlights will stop them clocking a speed on you, it does depend on where they aim the thing & the car size etc.

Vauxhal Omega Elite headlights most certainly do stop them clocking a speed & thats what these lads used to test the laser kit every now & then.

Infra red light is only heat we can't see, some lights put out different spectrums of light/heat, hence why those HID or spherical lens type lights have a strange colour at the edges.

Laser units operate around the 804nm range, quite a few headlights put out light in and around that range.

I have a video of the Swedish police testing a Kustom Pro laser gun against a Saab on a long straight road in daylight. The Saab does several runs towards the gun, with and without its headlights on. The range of the laser gun is significantly reduced when its headlights are on.

ironic, I find this post just after I posted something similar !!!! sorry if I've repeated myself. Repeated myself. Never mind!

@Headlights do mess up laser but NOT radar. To do that you need something else.

I love the idea of wrapping a Tesco carrier bag around the plate. Can someone tell me, if I were to be flashed but my number was obscured by road debris and was caught, would the police push for stronger sentance/more severe charge? Before anyone says they ca'nt catch me, when my Noble arrives it will be the only one in the world that colour. Would the police persue it?
