The brick shed at her house that she had the roof re-felted on last summer has been ripped off at 3am by some bunch of morons.

WTF is the point?

Hooligans on a shed roof at that time of night naturally frighten and elderly lady on her own.

Police won't be interested, so do I stay around there & wait for them to come back to rip the rest off and beat the crap out of them?

Probably not as I have a good job and an income and I am an easy target for justice to be done rolleyes

I'm thinking I'll re-felt it for her and whilst I'm up there I shall bitumen in some razor wire around the edge out of sight and the same along the perimeter wall. Fingers ripped to shreds will be a good deterrent.

She has already had her hedge kicked in (not that hedge), egss thrown at windows, bottle of milk thrown at windows, plants pots smashed in garden, sapling trees pulled up after planting.

Fecking scum should all be sterilised!

I'd be calling the police as you appear to have an escalating problem on your hands, I'd also be installing a half decent CCTV setup as well to catch them in the act.

Failing that buy her a shotgun.

Why wouldn't you inform the Police that your mother seems to be the victim of regular crimes??

He / she could do to make them feel better - however the police won't be interested.

Oh don't worry, we have.

They came around parked outside, questioned her.
She felt like the criminal and they made it quite clear she was wasting their time and were not bothered about it.

They did nothing.

I pushed some more and they did get a PCSO to occasionally stroll past bewtween 9am & 5pm once or twice a week rolleyes

Sorry to hear that, Kentish. Best thing would be to report it to the BIB every time an act is committed. Then when, or if nothing is acted upon, get in touch with the local MP. MP will then be in touch with the local BIB Inspector and, then BIB will act. At least this is what happened when I acted on behalf of a neighbour. Good luck.

The police have trouble catching a bloke walking about shooting people mid afternoon, with witnesses, are they likely to do anything about vandalism in the middle of the night?

You realise if you plan this well the s that did this can just 'disappear'

My mate has an incinerator on his farm I'm sure he'd let you use if you slipped him 50 quid. All you need now is a wood chipper.

I would avoid putting up the barbed wire ect... Chances are the scums will hurt themselves/fall off ect and end up trying to sue your mother for assault ect... and actually probably get what they want from it! That is the logic behind our legal system i'm afraid!

Yes, don't put up any wire/glass, not lawful - the police will charge your mum if some scum gets hurt! You have a duty to make sure that your property is nor attractive or dangerous to juvenile delinquents when they trespass!

A strongly worded complaint is required pointing out that your mother appears to be becoming a target, and it must be taken seriously. Has she shouted at any kids or complained or anything? Just mention Fiona Pilkington.

...depending on where you are, a freind of mine can sort the roof for your mum for next to nothing. I'm happy to pass on details for you, and hope your mum is ok.

Absolute scum. Police wont be interested though. Had similiar problems with my gran before she died. Despite her living *Literally* opposite a CCTV camera, The police did nothing about any problems she'd had. Whenever something was reported a PCSO would turn up, The police and council would squabble over who is in control of the camera and who's responsible for the recordings/monitoring and the whole thing would be swept under the carpet.
