M25 carrage widening around Heathrow area.
5841! That is the running total of hits with the Gatso's as of 6:00 this morning, and I saw it go off in both directions. Thats £350,460 and rising in a matter of weeks. But are they allowed to have the 40mph limit when no-one is working?

Whether or not anyone's working is irrelevent.
There was a 'road works' in South Wales which had seen virtually no work for about a year. There was no obstruction on the main carriageway. Very lucrative for the scammers.

I'd be wary of the 5841 claim. I drive this most days of the week and it mysteriously shot up by over 2,000 overnight. Also for a long time it was stuck on 2345 as if being tested.

I saw a barrier that had been smacked by a vehicle and pushed. Where was it? About 20 yards past a Gatso.

It looks like it only gets updated weekly - I do this stretch a couple of times a week

It'd be very much more entertaining if it were a real time counter, which changed each time a camera went off. Would help to wile away the boredom of driving so slowly.

Err, is it just me or are "they" not telling me something? As I mentioned above, I have just driven that section or road and noticed that people just dont give a damn about the speed limits.... in fact about a handfull just went steaming through the variable speed limit section just before the roadworks. It says 50MPH and enforced with cameras (gantry) but as I say, at least 5 cars just went through at over 70.... and no, they werent black or Met Police... How does this work and is there a key piece of information that I just dont know?

I do'nt know how far it extends but all the electrical boxs and gantrys on this section are sprayed in red paint "DEAD", so I'm assuming that the regular cameras are not working. But as I say, I do not know how far each side of the roadworks this extends.
