The Daily Telegraph said:

Ten major road improvement schemes that were due to start within a few months are under threat of last-minute postponement because of Treasury spending cuts, the Government's Highways Agency admitted yesterday. The projects include two motorway schemes and a series of A-road widenings and bypasses intended to ease congestion and reduce accidents.

I bet they can find the money for new scameras though!
