The World Health Organisation claims that 1.2 million people are killed on the world’s roads each year; "the third biggest cause of preventable death after heart disease and depression."

Perhaps no-one has told them of the 2 million that die every year from malaria which could be prevented by spraying the inside wall of buildings with DDT. Of course the enviros don’t like that because they say they believe every word in Rachel Carson’s ‘Silent Spring’.

Then we have the huge numbers that die in the Third World every year from lung infections caused by living under the Asian Brown Cloud. But enviros tell us they are pleased to have prevented the building of 300 hydro-electric power stations that would help reduce dependence on burning animal dung for cooking.
