"The Kent & Medway speed camera partnership, is trying to quieten broadcaster Adrian John. So far he has caught 3 of their camera vans speeding using concealed video cameras. The latest incident on Thursday last, involves one of their vehicles goading other drivers to follow him at speed, on what the 'partnership' claims is the most dangerous road in the Thanet area. It has no less than 8 fixed device sites. The van was caught travelling at 50mph in a 30 limit and was followed for about 3 minutes. John has apparently been requesting a spokesman to appear on his programme since September 2003 and answer allegations of mal-practice by their van drivers - so far they have not appeared but have twice approached his bosses at the Kentish Messenger Newspaper Group in order to put political pressure on the radio division to shut him up.. (The Camera Partnerships are involved in a massive advertising spending spree with commercial radio stations. The Kent & Medway Safety Camera Partneships say the vans are controlled by the Police, and say they know nothing about their operating guidelines. Kent Police will not comment and refer enquiries back to the Kent & Medway Safety Partnership. Meanwhile the hired 'safety' criminals continue to ignore the law and their own advice."
