There are some new cameras on the A631 Bawtry to Gainsborough road and I thought they were the new digital gatso type cameras, but I've since been told that they are the average speed type ( SPECS? ). I thought they only used these on motorways not A roads? can anybody confirm this?
I also used to know of a web site that told you what all the different types of camera are and how to identify them, but when I looked it had gone, anybody know another site?

Try www.ukspeedtraps.co.uk

A friend mentioned most of the A631 is now a 50 limit...unnecessary and spoiling a good road IMO. Haven't driven it for a few years though.

SPECS can be used on any road suitable for their erection.

For scamera types, see: www.millers.biz/speed_camera_guide.htm

I noticed last time I was up home that someone got a lot of 40 signs for Christmas and has littered them between Haxey, Epworth and Crowle. And 50s on the Retford-Gainsborough road (even on the dual carriageways!)
