Sp50 and insurance.
Discussion
It would appear that it is fairly standard on any car Insurance Policy that you must notify them as soon as possible of any alteration in risk which materially effects the Policy. Material information, in addition to mods etc, includes the history of any driver. It will be this you fall foul of.
You have picked up a ban for speeding on a Motorway and any points that could have been awarded have been wiped out because of the ban.
Notification of this to your Insurance Company may lead them to re-assess the Policy cover and PREMIUM.
If you don't a future claim may be rejected or reduced and /or the Policy being made invalid.
What does all this mean: Simple.
Your going to pay more.

Footman James it, cheap specialist insurance. I pay half of the next quote and as far as I am concerned any claim made on my insurance is going to be nitpicking and lengthy and pointless. Save your bucks and get a piece of paper for next to nothing. At least when they decide not to pay out on some complication/finer point you will be happy in the knowledge that you got ripped off for the least price. Insurance companies are just pirates, legal daylight robbery. If you are paying over the odds, bigger fool you.
