My brother is lying in the Hospital, just because someone was eating and dropped some sauce while driving. Needless to say his got hit by a car while on a bike.

I'm sorry to hear about your brother, that really sucks and i hope he gets better soon!
But... Its not eating whilst driving that causes accidents per se, its simply not concentrating. I am perfectly capable of eating a choclate bar and driving, i dont need to take my eyes off the road or use more then one hand, and its not distracting at all. Just like i would be theoretically able to talk on the phone whilst driving as i believe it would be no more distracting then talking to a passanger, although i dont as i dont want 3 points on my liscince!
Eating a packet of crisps or something that requires two hands is a different matter though.
O/T slightlt but i recently tried to call a friend and got no answer, only to be followed by a text a minute or two later saying "Sorry i didnt pick up, i'm driving. Whats up?" So she consiered it okat to send texts but wouldnt pick the phone up

I can't think why dropping hot ash onto one's lap should be made illegal, even while driving.Having said that, too many moons ago now to remember, a colleague was late arriving at work because her boyfriend had been smoking whilst driving to pick her up. He'd tried to take the cigarette from his mouth, only for it to stick to his lip. His fingers slid along the ciggy and pulled off the burning tip, which promptly fell into his crotch.
He did what any young man would probably do under such alarming circumstances. He took his other hand off the steering-wheel and fumbled around in an attempt to locate the glowing ember.
Unfortunately, he'd just commenced a left turn into his girlfriend's road. The consequence was, he collided with a lamppost.

That covers 240%, most of the rest are accidents....................

So you can - Pick up the bar from wherever it's been stored in the car
- Unwrap it
- Eat it
- Dispose of the wrapper (INSIDE THE CAR!
)...all with one hand, and eyes not for one second leaving the road! I'm impressed

Ordinarily i dont store chocolate in the car so would have bought said treat at a service station or similar. I would usually start eating before i drive off again, negating the need to open the wrapper on the move. This is my storey and i'm sticking to it.
