Got my NIP 2 months back, told the 's I didn't know who was driving (the truth).

So my 2 relatives who may have been driving have deserted me. They have basically convinced themselves thats its me and are not prepared to budge....

Anyway, the pic reveals squat about who the driver is, as would be expected from a Gatso...

So a couple of questions bearing in mind I'm near my 28 day limit response period.

Can I post the pic up here? It pretty much shows the car well inside a gatso zone, which has a pelican crossing on it and to cap it all theres a damn pedestrian walking on the pavement!

But I noticed there is only 1 pic! and alas no sign of driver.... Should I not have 2 pics?

So any advice as to what I should do next would be appreciated, can I post the pic on here btw or is that not advisable? Thx

Just edit out the number plate & the ref didgits date & time etc.

If one pic does not show you then you can ask for the other, you can CHECK the speed reading using the lines on the road

This happened to me, I didnt sign the NIP and requested photo, it was pap, so requested better one etc etc.

They said couldnt give me any further help then started sending threatening letters about failure to provide etc.

This kept bouncing back and forth until it eventually went over the 6 month point and I've not heard of it since. Bear in mind I did have a head start coz the letter took 4 months to get to me (based in Germany with Military at the time)

Made me sweat though.

I found out that if you can't identify driver then it should fall on responsibility of the owner (dunno what happens if it's a company).

So, if you married, blame the wife!

So in the end you think they have basically forgotten about your case through admin overload?

You should have 2 pics so you can check the speed you were travelling at matches the speed you are acused of. 1 picture is no good for this and is not admissable evidence for this type of speed camera in a court.
The Home Office requires 2 for the camera to be working in accordance with its certification, a court does and consequently, so do you.
There has been cases where the speed indicated on the NIP has not matched the speed calculated by the spacing of the vehicle over the dragons teeth on the road.
Request your 2 pics explaining this and you should receive them. Of course if you turn up in court and you have only been presented with one picture the prosecution can't use the second one to corroborate the radar measurement made by the gatsometer.
