Just finished watching fascinating piece of telly on ITV4. Have to say, I didn't know that the car crime in the UK pays off. Why does the police even bother chasing after anyone if the highest sentence in this weeks episode was 9 months suspended for 18 months and that was for... wait for it... burglary, dangerous driving and driving without licence and insurance. The fog light/mlm/no indicator crew can sleep peacefully.

The mind boggles.

The way to go seems to be to fraudulently obtain hire vehicles and steal them, polce aren't interested as there's a hire agreement so it's a civil matter.

I remember watching that program, or a similar one, and a guy was stopped by the police who were saying "I've arrested you for driving whilst disqualified before haven't I? This is now the third time isn't it? You're never going to learn are you?".

When the narrator read out his "sentence" of a further ban, is it any wonder?
