Just received my photograph.

Clear, dry afternoon. No other vehicles around and I am travelling in the nearside lane of the motorway at 90mph.

Guess that's another tax victim.

The picture also shows other important information though. I always believed that there was a reasonable expectation of a 'visible presence'.

The photograph was taken nearly 350 metres away and judging by the angle the laser must have been at least 200 metres off the motorway.

That takes hiding in bushes to another extreme in my opinion.

If they were off the motorway by 200m then phi (?)angle comes into play. This gives an artificially low speed reading you were doing more than 90mph.

This is not a condemnation of your speed.

Not related to that photo, but they do the same at junction 29 of the M1. The sit on the roundabout between the 2 bridges over the M1 so they have easy access to the sliproad if needs be but only visible to drivers once you are level with them.

M4 J23A and J24, so no excuses.

Coach, could be, but I don't think they were that close to the M'way. The angle onto the road is quite remarkable. But given that I was ranged at 350 metres I guess they must have been parked up on the B4245 near Llanmartin.
