Thought i better mention this..
Last night in Thorpe bay, Essex. A normally marked scam van i.e. all the chevrons on the back(can be seen a good distance away)and the 3 foot auto flash tripod set up just infront, to catch you as you go past(police officer sat inside reading whatever)...

Not this time though!! The van was parked up and the police officer was standing (hidden behind the van) operating some sort of camera on a 5/6ft tripod behind the van. I presume he was nabbing drivers as they were going away from him. As these drivers would've been approaching the front of the van all that would've been visible was a small picture of a camera on the front...(that wasn't the case as he was behind another van)
He was parked on the opposite side of the road so perhaps i'm being a bit harsh and was after cars approaching the rear of the van and using a camera to get a smiling face not the usual rear number plate.

But i think not!!!!

Anyone have any info? Tks

Sorry i've waffled but wasn't sure how to explain!!

Probably one of the cameras that is linked up to the DVLA checking peoples car tax and insurance it sounds like to me.

Police out doing a proper job, thats what I like to see our taxes going on for a change. Well done I say.
