In the last few months a few of us ZR1/C4(and others) owners have got together over a beer and a curry and have formed a self help group to help each other maintain our cars to a reasonably high standard with out the unnessasary high costs and knowing that the job is done to an acceptable standard.
Some of us are into the electronics side others are into mechanical, interiors etc.
We get together every 4/6 weeks and share imformation of parts ,dealers, jobs we have done, even small jobs like fitting "weather stripping" and specialist tools have been covered,we also plan to attend events together like Drag racing and trips to the states for "The Gathering".
We are only a few at the moment but when you look at groups like "Surrey Muscle" and how they started and what they have grown to and achieved it looks the way forward.
For more imformation contact cbzr1@hotmail.com.

Cliff,

This is a good idea, I have some pix from a Plenum removal and starter-motor refitting that I did to throw into the "ring".

I have the '91 Factory Service Manuals - this applying to the ZR1 and "regular" L98 in both coupe and vert form - so these can be consulted if anybody needs as well.

Weatherstripping? There's an idea for a winter project!

That's great, I've had the gearbox out and changed the clutch myself, so I could do some notes on that.

It would be good to have a web page where we could post tech tips and 'How To' info for reference, I think that's the long-term plan.

Count me in - my 86 has needed the odd job here and there, and things like weatherstripping are on my 'to do' list.

I've got a few photos of the typical digital dash lighting fix, rear wheel bearing replacement, manifold gasket replacement amongst others.

Like the gathering idea too - Brental - drop me the details - I'm hoping I can go!

Give us a date Brett when you can make it and then see if the others can make it aswell, ime sure the lure of a curry and a few beers wont go amiss.

just had to summit a letter for the ne ZR1 Net Registry. Looks like the plan is to have it up for the 1st November. New t-shirts and Logos have already been designed. The LT5 reg. 'life begins at 180' logo is still there. I will keep you up to date. Cliff, pick a date.
