- The Corvette Assembly Plant shut down the C6 assembly line at noon today because of problems with the 6-speed manual transmission.

- All C6 production is stopped, including cars with automatic transmissions.

- The NCM is cancelling scheduled museum deliveries.

I haven't read the link but I doubt that a gearbox will cause a long term problem to production, surely not.

Well said, the latest from the musuem is as follows:

"Corvette Assembly Plant Up and Running

We have received several calls regarding the Corvette Assembly Plant tours and building process. The Corvette Assembly Plant is running and all tours are still on schedule. Deliveries are still taking place at the Museum and business is as usual. "

Oh, so they'll probably have another stop soon to cure the 'where do I put the front number plate' bumper issue.
