Just saw an advert from a local Jaguar dealer offering test drives at the business park I'm working on. The flyer has some nice silhouettes of a bloke driving a soft top sports car with the wind blowing in his hair. Trouble is that whoever chose the pics knows nothing about cars as they are most obviously of a C4 Corvette. Wrong car and even wrong motor manufacturer. OOPS!

Now how should a mischievous person make the best of the situation ?

Call up the number in the flyer and let them know ?

Let the sales manager know ?

Let the general manager know ?

Let the area manager know ?

Let FROD GB's marketing manager know ?

Let the press know ?

go into the dealership and say you've got a bundle of cash, but you only want the 'Jag' on the flyer

Good job Jaguar aren't part of GM or you would probably get it.

I've also seen a C4 silhouette used in an ad for a local resprayer!!

I guess us C4 owners should be flattered: if advertising folk looking for that "dream car" for their ads look through their pics and choose a C4, I cannot say I object....

I guess you could congratulate them on using a Vette in the ad as it instills confidence in the buying public that none of Joe Lucas' handiwork is on board.

It's very ironic that a company owned by Ford is using a product from its arch rival (GM) to help sell its products. What a stroke of genius! No doubt the advertising agency "Executive" who came up with that "Sales Strategy" earned a small fortune for their efforts, Dahling. Mwah mwah (<- air kisses).

I wonder if Jeremy Clarkson is aware of this?

Obviously they also know that the Corvette styling peaked at the C4.... Arf! Arf!

My other vehicle - well I need a Yank V8 for my family car too - is a Caddy STS. And I read that along with the new STS's V6 and V8 line up, there may be a diesel in the offering...

A Cadillac Diesel... just doesn't sound right

Can't remember if it was a Caddy or a Lincoln, but was shown a 7 litre late 70's luxo-barge thing in a scrappy a few years ago. At least it won't say '2.0 D'...
