Since stripping out the water hoses, steering pump, coolant housings etc and uncovering the hole in the front cover, with the help of ZR1forfun the hole has been repaired and most of the parts reassembled except for the coolant housings.
When we tried to fit the C H we found that most of the threads were stripped and in some holes helilocks had been fitted but due to the leaks this obviously had not worked, hence more black silicone ,so with the help of zr1368 and his contacts i now have the "Thread Doctor" visiting next week to put this right.
While the steering pump was out i had easy access to take out the steering shaft and slightly flatten the surface of the front tube on the headers as this was rubbing and had left a furrow on the shaft.
With the car is in the air Zr1forfun did some trouble shooting on the "Service ABS" light on the dash ,so far we found that the Fuse had blown so we fitted a new fuse and cleaned all the sensors at each wheel and once the car is back on the road we can test the system further.
I thank ZR1forfun for his help, the guy made 2x 80 mile round trips in 3 days to help the cause,Top Man,also Joe and Louis for their encouragment,oh and the McDonalds.

Cliffy - great to see everyone rallying round.

This latest tale is nothing short of appalling. I saw the pictures of the sealant covering your engine on the Corvetteforum and it makes me very cross to see someone like you messed around like this. It seems to me that too much has been bodged by certain people but at least you and the car are now saved from being ripped off any more. Good luck with the progress - I'll be up to see it asap.
