Vettes on TV tonight

Hi all,
9.30pm tonight (Fri) on Men & Motors (the high brow channel!) is a prog on the development of Vettes. No doubt it'll praise the C1, rave about the C2, skip over the C3 as a smogmobile, go into detail on the C4 & have a brief couple of mins at the end on the C5 leading the way into the future. Or maybe not.

Good tip. However, I watched "Have I Got News For You" and somehow managed to tape it at the same time! I noticed my incompetence about ten minutes before the end but, from the last few minutes of the Corvette programme, it looked like I'd missed a good show. I will catch the rest of the programme some other time as no doubt it will be repeated 20 times next week.
Must be more careful when setting the video in future........

I have only just got to see this. If any of the Surrey crew managed to tape it, I would love to borrow it. Anyone? please.

When you get to see it you'll find it's a heavily edited version of what seems to have started life as a longer program. Main focus is on Vettes from 50s through to C3. Then a couple of minutes on C4 before a closing couple of minutes on C5/C6. The editor couldn't tell the difference between C5 and C6 as the shots of red cars and the commentary intermingle. C6 is undeniably C5.5 but none the worse for that; if it ain't bust don't fix it. The $250m cost of C5 development shows how impossible life has become for the so-called specialist UK sports car makers.

Luckily HIGNFY was repeated on Sunday (good to see our politicians doing something useful for a change!) so I taped the Vette prog while watching it. There's a couple of other Vette things on the tape (VHS) so I can bring it along to a meet if you want to borrow it (not sure if I can make it this month, but will be there for Xmas meet).
Best send me a reminder so that I don't forget it (or so I can erase anything else on the tape that'd give away my depraved taste in videos - things like Lesbian Nymphos In Dinosaur Hell. Or was it Lesbian Biker Chicks In Zombie Town? )

I'll try to remember Those other tapes.... I once taped a bunch of really grim films (the type of thing that's so bad that it's good), lots of nekkid birds & strange goings-on & then taped something more interesting over the top of the start of one. At a later date I forgot all about the dodgy film & lent the tape out to somebody that I really didn't want seeing in (the mother-in-law??). It all got a bit embarrassing
