Key Codes for a C5 ?

If you and all the previous owners didn't keep a record of the "chip" number then get a DVM out and measure the resistance of the chip. It should be quite a low number. The dealer can then look up the resistance in a table and work out which chip is fitted and then cut you a key.
I got Bauer Millett to cut one for me at the first Nats I went to and that's the technique they used - they didn't believe that I had the right number !! That's odd as I do a very good impersonation of a

The keys tend to be a bit pricey in UK but are literally "cheap as chips" in USA being standard equipment on many GM cars. The key fob is a different matter altogether with Euro spec ones completely different from US cars. I've now got a spare ignition key but gave up trying to track down a fob as I don't need it enough to pay the price. Try not to lose one. Which brings me to a simple point - what is the point of separate starter buttons!! Bloomin bonkers.
