New UK Corvette dealerships

So what happened to the rumour a couple of months back that GM were, at the European C6 launch, going to announce new UK deaerships and UK sales and European distribution of the C6?

Well the first thing they have to get round is that the Corvette is now a brand on it's own and of course nothing to do with Chevrolet.

So they wouldn't want them sold from common old Chevrolet outlets where they sell those little biddy Chevrolet Kalos and Matiz cars....

According to the headlines on Pistonheads the other day they are opening a Caddy/Corvette showroom on Park Lane in London this week.
More across the country to follow I believe........

At Tuesday's meet Rob Smirke said he'd already been there and, IIRC, that they have a C6 on display.

Can the person who has seen the C6 in a showroom, or any one who knows where it is let me know as I would like to see it, is it in Park Lane as I am going to London Friday thank you.

Rumour has it that it's in Madame Tussaud's Chamber Of Horrors. LOL.

Whilst the styling of C6 is weak I don't like to be too critical of it as the car is still a C5 Mk2 to me. In the recent TV program on Corvettes the makers even muddle up red C5 and C6 in the editing! C6 front is weakest of all. Whatever may be said about C5s long nose and fat backside the shape is instantly recognisable without forced lines or gimmicks. Back view of C6 is the car's best angle and all most people will see!

The dealership is to be run by Pendragon. Its at Brook House 113 Park Lane Mayfair, tel. [phone]. They will be officially open for enquiries, literature and orders etc. in January. The showroom is currently open now (but not manned) and has three vehicles on display (but no one is able to tell me what they are) !!!!
