Wiring problem
Discussion
First of all i would like to introduce myself. I am John. Norman-59 and Live in Surrey.U.K. My problem is with the wiring on my 2000 Corvette C5. Following a recent accident i have now repaired the front end. However i have a wire (well 2 actually) coming from under the fusebox next to the battery that is inside a small outer black cover. 1 wire is coloured black and the other is light blue with a white tracer, with a small plug on the end-similar to the side indicator one. I cannot find where this goes and am pleading/begging for some assistance. I was told that 2 members here have workshop manuals and know i am being cheeky, but would you have a look in them for me. The electric fans are not coming on although they seem to be plugged in I would really be gratefull for any help as i do not want to drive the car and overheat it. Your replies would be more than welcome. Regards, john.n
Don't know the answer to your question but you can jury rig electric fans either direct from the battery so they're permanently on or better to do it via a relay activated by the brake light switch or handbrake warning light switch. That way the fans will run when you're stationary in traffic. Might keep you on the road until you find the real fix. Good luck.
Try posting the question on the Corvette Forum. There are a number of experts, one guy in particular (I forget his forum name)who will be able to help.
