Dart Corvette (in Leigh - pronounced lie - near Tonbridge, Kent) is offering new C5s from Germany. Sounds as though the German dealer pre-registered them to meets sales numbers and sold a job lot to Dart

I looked at a very nice black C5 today, £35k. There are a few more coming in, in different colours

Details from Steve on 01732-838551

I'd heard there were some left. Best way would be to go and get it yourself thus cutting out a sea of middle men. I did and I paid well below £35k for a convertible. £35k is not that good if you consider a new C6 can be brought in from the US for similar money. Email me privately if you want to know more.

just remember, Dart are very good at 'screening' incoming phone calls and thus not returning your calls when they are mucking you around.....been there, done that and have never been back since.

Strange, I've been there a few times and they're the most helpful bunch of guys. Maybe it's a phone thing?

It's very easy to buy from Germany after you have done it once, I ordered my red on red 04 from Aurgeo Opel in Wuppertal. A Mr Andreas Krumm did my deal, he was fantastic, if you email me through this site I can give you my phone number and more help if you want to meet I am in Essex, and I also know a club member Richard Rogers bought an 03 from Germany

Thanks for your kind offer i have sent you email through the site hope you got it.

I have a corvette 98 and 2001 i have loved owning the cars now i am thinking about buying a nearly new one or new if i can find a good price.

only problem i have had is the clutch going to the floor syndrome , this has recently come back so i guess i have to get this fixed before i sell my old car ( at least i am more honest then the scumbags who sold me the car vauxhall dealer in the west they were a discrace even to the motor trade)

oh well must not let that bad experiance put me off i love the car could not live without one now, i will send you my phone number and email again i live near bath.

glad i found this site now i have people to share my pleasure and pain with my favorite cars,

later then

It is well worth the slight hassle of importing one from the US. Prices are low, the exchange rate is high and there are hundreds to choose from. You then also have the choice of a 405bhp Z06.

You can do this without leaving your seat. I used an agent in the US who went to see the cars I found on Auto Trader. Once the deal is done and he's OK'd the car, he does the rest once you wire the money and all you have to do is pick it up from the dock and get it SVA'd (easy enough).

E-mail me for further info if anyone wants to go that route.

I wasn't impressed by Dart when I took my 85 Vette there. Had the car 3 weeks and still didn't fix it properly.

I heard today that there are still new C5s in Europe. Prices didn't sound too special but there must be loads of room to negotiate.
