Anyone have experience replacing the C5 standard fit stereo with an MP3 Player. I have the 6 CD changer too and am looking to change it to a more up to date MP3 player. Whats the easiest way? Would the standard fitting given at Halfords have any problem swapping them out?

You could always buy an "iTrip" (or equivalent), which basically takes any headphone-jack source (i.e. an mp3 player, and then transmits it in FM stereo at a desired frequency...

as I just bought one today!

Of course, they're not legal to use under the waffle-waffle-waffle+telephony act etc. of 1946, but as its got a range of a few feet not really worth worrying about!! (Of course, your mp3s and speed limit would be legal too )

My rough rule of thumb with Halfords is never, never, never let them touch your car. Some of their stuff is OK to buy though if the price is right.
